Camping Le Lieu is located in Saint-Jory-de-Chalais, in the Dordogne, in the heart of the Périgord/Limousin Regional Natural Park, in a natural, peaceful and family-friendly environment.
Is the campsite suitable for families?
Yes, our family campsite in the Dordogne is perfectly suited to families, with outdoor spaces, a children’s playground, a swimming pool and a friendly atmosphere.
Are you a 3-star campsite?
Yes, Camping Le Lieu is classified as a 3-star campsite.
How many pitches does the campsite have?
The campsite has around 44 spacious pitches for tents, caravans, vans and motorhomes.
Is the campsite quiet?
Yes, we favour a natural, friendly atmosphere that respects everyone’s peace and quiet.
Booking and Arrival/Departure
What time can we arrive?
Arrivals for rentals (mobile homes and PODs) are from 3 p.m.
What time do we have to leave the accommodation?
Departures for rentals are scheduled until 11 a.m.
Do we need to book in advance?
Booking is strongly recommended, especially during high season and summer events.
Are groups accepted?
Yes, groups are accepted only upon prior request.
Accommodation and Pitches
What types of accommodation do you offer?
We offer 5 mobile homes, 1 unusual POD-style accommodation and 44 pitches for tents, caravans, vans and motorhomes.
Do you accept tents, vans and motorhomes?
Yes, all types of campers are welcome at our nature campsite in the Dordogne.
Do you have an area for motorhomes?
Yes, there is an area set aside for motorhomes.
Bar and Pizzeria – Open to all
Are the bar and pizzeria reserved for campers?
No, our bar and pizzeria are open to everyone, both campers and visitors from outside the campsite.
Is there a pizzeria on site?
Yes, there is a pizzeria right on the campsite.
Do you offer takeaway pizzas?
Yes, we offer takeaway pizzas. We do not offer delivery.
Do you organise events?
Yes, around six concerts and several other events are organised during the summer season.
Water Park and Activities
Is there a swimming pool at the campsite?
Yes, the campsite has an unheated outdoor swimming pool.
What are the pool’s opening dates and times?
The pool is open from early May to 15 October, from 9am to 9pm.
Are pets allowed in the swimming pool?
No, pets are not allowed in the aquatic area.
What activities are available on site?
Petanque court, children’s playground, communal areas, concerts and summer entertainment.
Facilities and Services
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, Wi-Fi is available around the restaurant and swimming pool only.
Do you have a laundry room?
Yes, washing machines and tumble dryers are available (€3 per cycle, operated with €1 coins).
Are there barbecues available?
Yes, two barbecues are available for our campers to use.
Is there a children’s playground?
Yes, there is a playground for children within the campsite.
Pets and Rules
Are pets allowed?
Yes, pets are allowed in all areas of the campsite, except in the water park.
Do they have to be kept on a lead?
Yes, pets must be kept on a lead at all times, even on pitches.
What are the quiet hours?
Quiet hours begin at 10 p.m. to ensure that all holidaymakers can rest.

Can electric vehicles be recharged?
No, recharging electric vehicles is strictly prohibited on site for safety reasons.
